The Apostolic Voice

Welcome to the Apostolic Voice!
~ celebrating 20 years on the web ~

I am an Apostolic Pentecostal Christian and Minister at the First Apostolic Church of Biddeford, Maine. “Apostolic” means that I believe and teach the same doctrine as taught by the Apostles in the book of Acts. God never changes (Malachi 3:6, Hebrews 13:8) and neither does the true Church. We are supposed to be the same Church the Jesus built (Matthew 16:18), the one described on the book of Acts which is the history or the early Church.

“Pentecostal” means that we have experienced the same infilling of the Holy Ghost, just as they did on the day of Pentecost, which is essential to salvation (Acts 2:38, 1 Corinthians 15:1-4).

One Salvation

I believe that the truth of who Jesus is and what true salvation is a mystery hidden to most people including the religious of today. The Apostle Paul wrote; “But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost” – 2 Corinthians 4:3. Jesus said “I am the door” (John 10:9), and I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 10:14). There is no other way.

One Lord, One Faith, One Baptism

(Ephesians 4:5)

One God and One Lord: God said that He alone was God and Lord, and that there was none other (Isaiah 45:6, 45:21). God said in Deuteronomy 6:4 that He was One Lord. Zechariah 14:9 proclaims that the Lord would be Lord of all the earth and in that day there would be One Lord, and His Name One. 1 Corinthians 8:6 proclaims that the Name of that One Lord is Jesus.

One Faith and One Gospel: But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed (Galatians 1:8).

One Baptism: Matthew 28:19 declares that we are to be baptized in the NAME of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. That NAME is JESUS (Acts 2:38, 8:12).

Here’s my answer to the salvation question, in a mystery. Pray about it, study it out and let God reveal truth to you.

Here are a few verses that shed light on true Salvation through the Gospel:

1 John 3:5,
Acts 2:38,
1 Corinthians 15:1-4,
2 Thessalonians 1:7,8
It’s not about Church attendance or following a set of rules.  It’s not about dressing a certain way, or acting a certain way, but rather it’s about a very personal, covenant relationship with God. A closer and more personal relationship than you could ever have imagined.
Before God I was all alone. People only know me by what I do and what I say. God on the other hand knows me better that I know myself (Jeremiah 17:9,10).  He is a constant present companion that is with me through every valley, every mountain top, every dark place, as well as the light of day. He’s with me through every trial and tribulation, through every failure and every success. He’s truly the friend that sticks closer than a brother (Proverbs 18:24).
When you have the proper relationship with God, the instruction to “pray without ceasing” (1 Thessalonians 5:17) makes a whole lot more sense.  We don’t have to go to special place, at a special time, or in a special way. He’s right with me, and within me, at all times. I can truly pray without ceasing.
